Fair Pay
We're putting a focus on the people in supply chains that don't earn enough to support their families and plan for their futures. By buying Fairtrade, you can ensure the people who have produced our favourite products have earned a fairer income and have agency over their lives.
What is Fair Pay?
Fair pay means making sure the people who grow and make the things we buy earn a decent, steady income. It’s about dignity, stability and being able to plan for the future — and that’s the core of fair pay.
Many farmers are still paid less than it costs to produce their crops. Fairtrade tackles this with Minimum Prices and the Fairtrade Premium, giving farmers protection when markets drop and helping build stronger communities.
And your choices matter. Every Fairtrade product you pick up supports farmers pushing for better wages and safer conditions. Fair pay starts with producers - but it’s powered by people choosing to Do it Fair.

What we're asking
We’re calling for a new law that makes sure businesses are held responsible for unfair pay and exploitation in their supply chains. No company should profit from poverty wages or hide the real human cost behind everyday products. Too many global businesses still benefit from low pay and unsafe conditions, and voluntary promises haven’t fixed it. We need rules that require every company to take responsibility for the people who grow and make their products, because fair pay shouldn’t be optional. Together, we can demand a level playing field. Together, we can push for laws that protect workers’ rights and ensure fair pay across supply chains. Together, we can Do it Fair.
