Fairtrade Risk Map

The Fairtrade Risk Map shows that thorough risk assessment and collaboration with farmers and workers are cornerstones of sustainable supply chains. They are also essential for evolving due diligence requirements.

Fairtrade’s online tool shines a light on the greatest human rights and environmental risks in the sectors where it works.

The risk map covers coffee, cocoa, bananas, wine grapes and honey, as well as the most common countries of origin of these products.

The catalogued risks are relevant for the products and their associated growing regions for any supply chains, not only for Fairtrade.

This means that anyone – from farmers and worker organisations to brands to non-governmental organisations – can hone in on salient risks to communities and in supply chains.

Fairtrade Risk Map

This risk map is designed to support companies and farmer organisations in assessing their human rights and environmental risks. The highlighted risks are deeply entrenched challenges that all actors face in these industries, and are not specific to Fairtrade certified supply chains.
