Education Strategy and Impact Consultancy

Request for Proposals: Education Strategy and Impact Consultancy

 

The Fairtrade Foundation is seeking to engage an experienced consultant to support the development of a strategic Theory of Change and Impact Management Framework for our education portfolio, with a particular focus on the Future Fairtrade University Programme.

This consultancy will help strengthen the strategic coherence, impact measurement and investment readiness of Fairtrade's education work across schools and universities, ensuring it is positioned to support long term growth, funding opportunities and alignment with Fairtrade's wider mission. 

Scope of Work

The consultant will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing Fairtrade's existing education and youth engagement strategies, evidence and programme documentation.
  • Developing a practical Impact Management Framework, including indicators, evidence approaches and learning questions.
  • Refining a Theory of Change for Fairtrade's wider education portfolio and a linked Theory of Change for the Future Fairtrade University Programme.
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen alignment with current education policy, donor priorities and funding opportunities.
  • Providing recommendations to strengthen the positioning and investment case for Fairtrade's education programmes.

  • Consultant Selected: 11th September
  • Project commencement: October 2026
  • Draft outputs due: 21 October 2026
  • Final delivery: 2 November 2026
