Fairtrade businesses unite to challenge industry

Who will be next to Do It Fair?

We, a powerful coalition of over 40 leading UK retailers, brands and suppliers including Ben & Jerry’s, Clipper, Co-op, Greggs, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Tate & Lyle Sugars are coming together this Fairtrade Fortnight to issue a united call to action: It’s time for industry to step up and Do it Fair.

Together, we believe that doing business fairly is not just the right thing, it’s the smart thing. In a world facing rising inequality, climate disruption, and growing consumer demand for ethical and environmental leadership, Fairtrade offers a proven, powerful way to create positive impact and change.

Fairtrade means that farmers and workers are paid fairer, treated with respect and supported to invest in their futures. It’s not just the world’s most well-known and trusted ethical label, it’s a global, farmer-led movement that is building more resilient supply chains.

Last year, UK businesses generated £28 million in Fairtrade Premium, funding schools, healthcare, and climate projects in farming communities around the world. But together, we can go further, bigger, and bolder.

81% of UK consumers believe businesses must step up to take responsibility for fair and sustainable supply chains. They’re watching and they expect action.

That’s why we’re calling on our peers across industries to join us in committing to Fairtrade sourcing this Fairtrade Fortnight.
