Places of Worship
Churches, mosques, synagogues, temples and other places of worship across the UK have been at the heart of Fairtrade’s success since we began. By supporting Fairtrade, your place of worship will become part of the global Fairtrade movement. Find out how to become a Fairtrade Place of Worship or renew your Fairtrade status.
What does being a Fairtrade Place of Worship mean?
There are lots of ways to support Fairtrade through faith, but to be awarded Fairtrade Place of Worship status there are just two core requirements. 1. Use Fairtrade products wherever possible (at least tea, coffee and sugar) and share information about Fairtrade products with the wider congregation. 2. Integrate Fairtrade into the life of your place of worship, at Fairtrade Fortnight or other times of the year. For example through events, stalls and worship. Learn more about how to apply to become a Fairtrade Place of Worship or to renew your status in our recommitment guide.
