Risk and Responsibility in Wine Value Chains: A Stakeholder Dialogue for Norwegian Importers
We are delighted to invite you to an afternoon of inspiration and discussion, with insightful presentations from Vinmonopolet, Fairtrade Norge and the Peace Research Institute Oslo.
Norwegian wine importers are invited to a focused dialogue related to risk management in global wine supply chains, with a special focus on South Africa. Bringing together wine retailers, importers, certification bodies, and researchers, we will highlight and discuss ways that Norwegian importers can better manage supply chain risk by understanding emerging issues in complex wine growing regions.

Tentative agenda:
- Vinmonopolet will discuss its ongoing work in South Africa, highlighting two key initiatives aimed at mitigating supply chain risk. Revealing progress made and ongoing challenges still to be addressed. Our aim is that the presented initiatives will be connected to the data gathered through Vinmonopolet’ s Sustainability Platform.
- Fairtrade Norway will provide an overview of its Fairtrade certification model, connecting it with ways to manage supply chain risk and support responsible wine sourcing strategies.
- Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) will introduce a new collaborative research project on Land Governance and Supply Chain Management in the South African Wine Industry.
- We will close with a roundtable discussing implications and challenges for importers, retailers and industry stakeholders with a view to improving supply chain risk in complex wine growing regions.
