Canadian Fairtrade Awards
The Canadian Fairtrade Awards serve to recognize and celebrate the vision, leadership, and tireless commitment to sustainable trade of the Canadian fair trade community. Winners are selected by an independent panel of judges, and awards are presented during the National Fair Trade Conference.

Selection criteria
Selections for the Canadian Fairtrade Awards are made according to the 3 following criteria:
- Originality (25%)
- Impact (50%)
Depending on the specific award, impact will refer to one of, or a combination, of the following: sustainability impact, producer impact, Canadian community impact, and fair trade awareness impact - Execution quality (25%)
Making a nomination
The 2026 nominations are now closed.
Any organization or individual, including the members of Fairtrade Canada, can nominate an eligible organization, individual, and/or themselves and submit one or more applications. Fairtrade Canada staff, the Fairtrade Canada Board of Directors, as well as current judges, can encourage an eligible organization or individual to nominate themselves, but cannot apply on their behalf.
Only applications that are submitted via the online form will be considered.
