Healthy Habits that are Good for You, Good for Farmers, and Good for Planet
It’s 2026 now – a wild ride and a wild time to be alive. You know the New Years drill - we look back at last year, all the chaos, all the sunsets, and look forward to the growth of the New Year.
Here at Fairtrade America, we’re still dotting our i's and crossing t’s on our 2026 Goals, moving slowly due to the sugar overdose from how much mocha cake we ate over the holidays. But we can tell you a few thoughts. First, we’re planning to spend 2026 connecting more deeply with you! We want to hear your goals. We want to know what keeps your chin up. Find us on IG and tell us about your New Years goals and what keeps you hopeful!
For us, we continue to find hope in the partnerships we have with so many mission driven brands like Grace Farms and the collaborative efforts in supporting farmers after cyclones devastated Sri Lanka and Indonesia a few weeks ago. We’ve been very grateful for partners that care about the humans at the beginning of our beloved products.
And of course, we’re doing the wellness thing. We’re learning more about how we can live healthier in our own bodies (Zero guilt about all the holiday peanut butter fudge... just starting to think maybe we should include some herbal teas). And as humans operating in a capitalist system, we’re learning more about how we can create positive global impact by being intentional with our shopping habits.
Here’s some of our top picks for starting 2026 with healthy habits that are good for you, good for farmers and good for planet.
Mushroom Coffee
Switching from coffee-coffee to mushroom-coffee has been quite the craze lately, and not for no good reason - Lion’s Mane stimulates the growth and repair of neurons which improves brain function - enhancing memory, supporting mental clarity and decreasing brain fog. Reishi and Chaga mushroom extracts may reduce fatigue and inflammation and boost immunity. Reishi is also associated with better sleep and more vivid dreaming. Cordyceps are a potent energy source and when paired with coffee can aid in eliminating any caffeine crash.
