Framework of accompanying measures for the EU Forced Labour Regulation

The Fair Trade Advocacy Office (FTAO) presents targeted recommendations on how the EU can design effective accompanying measures to support businesses, empower supply-chain actors and ensure the EU Forced Labour Regulation delivers real progress in eradicating forced labour. With the entry into force of the EU Forced Labour Regulation (EU FLR), the EU must develop robust accompanying measures to ensure effective implementation of the regulation and to achieve the end goal of eradicating forced labour. As demonstrated by previous EU regulations, accompanying measures, which facilitate the effective and inclusive application of regulations, are as critical as the legislation itself and can therefore not be overlooked.
