Fairtrade Ambassadors Programme

  • Youth

Fairtrade Ambassadors are young farmers and workers from across the Fairtrade network who speak up for their communities on the global stage. They represent producers across Fairtrade’s three producer networks. In doing so, they bring first-hand experience of the challenges and opportunities facing smallholder farmers and share powerful stories of change.

The Fairtrade Ambassador Programme was launched by Fairtrade International with support from the European Union under its Financial Framework Partnership Agreement, contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

As spokespeople for Fairtrade, the ambassadors take part in public events, campaigns and policy discussions, engaging with decision-makers, businesses and civil society. From international climate conferences to meetings with Members of the European Parliament, they ensure that the voices of producers are heard where it matters most.

Today, a growing network of trained youth producers is helping to shape conversations on sustainability, livelihoods and the future of farming worldwide.
