This standard covers the purchase and sale of oilseeds and oleaginous fruit, and soybeans fit for human consumption.
For the sections under certification and traceability (only), the standard also covers any processed products and derivatives.
Fairtrade oilseeds and oleaginous fruits include coconuts, olives and olive oil, soya beans, natural white sesame seed and shea tree nuts which are defined as dried, roasted shea kernels processed into shea butter and flax seed (linseed).
Soybeans are all varieties of soy (Glycine max).
For coconuts secondary products worldwide (except Oceania): Secondary products of coconuts include the water, the husk and the shell and derivatives of these products.
