Organic Regulation Position Paper

The Fair Trade Movement, representing over 830 Fairtrade organic producer groups worldwide, welcomes the EU’s agriculture-focused Omnibus proposal to simplify the Common Agricultural Policy. While this is a key step toward reducing burdens on farmers, the Movement urges the European Commission to extend simplification efforts to other policies, particularly the EU Organic Regulation, to protect smallholder livelihoods and ensure continued access to organic and Fairtrade-certified products in the EU.
