Strategic Roadmap to Drive Growth, Innovation, and Impact

Date: 2nd April 2026

Fairtrade Network of Asia and Pacific Producers ( Fairtrade NAPP)  is proud to announce the launch of its Strategy 2026–2028, a forward-looking roadmap designed to strengthen resilience, accelerate innovation, and create meaningful, lasting impact across its ecosystem.

This new strategy comes at a pivotal moment as producers and communities navigate evolving market dynamics, technological disruption, and sustainability imperatives. Built through extensive consultation and collaboration, the roadmap prioritizes adaptability, growth, and long-term value creation.

“At a time of rapid change and increasing complexity, our Strategy 2026–2028 represents both a response to today’s challenges and a commitment to tomorrow’s opportunities. It reflects the voices of our stakeholders and partners, and reinforces our belief in building a future that is inclusive, sustainable, and driven by shared success.”- said Pravakar Meher; Chairperson, Board of Directors

Following the completion of its previous strategic cycle, Fairtrade NAPP is entering a new phase of development. The Strategy 2026–2028 builds on past achievements while responding to emerging trends and challenges shaping the future.

Aligned with global priorities and industry best practices, the strategy ensures stronger collaboration, coherence, and long-term impact.

The Strategy 2026–2028 marks a significant shift: From delivering activities → To achieving measurable outcomes and impact. By strengthening capabilities, expanding opportunities, and fostering innovation, the organization aims to deliver sustainable results for all stakeholders.

“A key evolution in this strategy is our move toward an outcome- and impact-driven approach. By leveraging data, technology, and strong partnerships, we aim to deliver measurable results and demonstrate real value to all stakeholders.” said Bindu Sukumarapillai- Chief Executive Office

The Strategy 2026–2028 is built on four key pillars that drive Fairtrade NAPP’s core work and support stronger Producer Organisations and workers’ rights. These include strengthening producer capacities and resilience through better farming practices, skills, and climate support; expanding market access through improved quality, value addition, and fair trade opportunities; leveraging technology and innovation to enhance productivity, transparency, and compliance; and advancing inclusion, equity, and social justice by empowering women, youth, and vulnerable groups.

These pillars are supported by three enablers—advocacy and fundraising to mobilise resources and partnerships, organizational excellence through data-driven systems and strong governance, and long-term sustainability by diversifying revenue and strengthening commercial efforts.

Looking ahead, Fairtrade NAPP remains committed to building a fair, inclusive, and sustainable trade future by strengthening resilience, expanding opportunities, driving innovation, and advancing equity, while inviting partners and stakeholders to collaborate in creating thriving producer communities.
