Kicking off Change with Fairtrade Practices at Legend International in India!
In a seamless collaboration, Fairtrade and Legend International work hand in hand, exemplifying a shared commitment to empower workers, drive #economic growth, and champion fairer practices. Legend International has always been dedicated to producing and selling top-quality sports goods while prioritizing workers' well-being in the sports goods manufacturing processes. Through their dedication and collaboration with Fairtrade since 2017, they've been driving towards a more #sustainable future. Today, Legend International has executed 3 annual projects through the Fairtrade premium fund, including the distribution of 15 washing units in 2022. The training sessions conducted by Fairtrade NAPP at Legend International cover various aspects such as #minimumwage, #workerrights and responsibilities. The presence of the Fairtrade Committee facilitates efficient #grievanceresolution while contributing to increased productivity, improved morale, and a fair opportunity for employees. Hence, employees are empowered to address concerns through the Fairtrade Committee in case of discrimination and enhance their #socioeconomic conditions. Today, the Fairtrade certification resulted in a 15% increase in turnover and improvements in working conditions.
