Fyffes was the first company to import Fairtrade bananas into Ireland from Ghana in 2003, initially supplying Superquinn. Since then, Fyffes has expanded to supply Fairtrade bananas to most major retailers nationwide. Dunnes Stores, a key Fyffes customer, now sells the highest volume of Fairtrade bananas in Ireland. Empowering banana-growing communities is at the heart of Fyffes’ commitment to Fairtrade.
