In Focus

Many benefits come with Fairtrade certification and sourcing. Even more can be achieved through tailored projects designed to achieve specific goals. We work  with producer organisations, companies, institutional donors, and researchers to create and measure projects that deliver impact. Here are some highlights.

Project

HREDD Support Fund

This fund aims to help small-holder farmers align their production with the German Supply Chain Due Diligence ActEU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, and the EU Deforestation Regulation, thus mitigating the risk of losing market access. By securing access to EU markets and supporting economic and environmental improvements, this fund seeks to safeguard producer organisations and improve the livelihoods of small-holder farmers and workers.

Project

LIFE FAIRTHRIVE

The LIFE FAIRTHRIVE project addresses this gap by equipping over 1,000 small and medium-sized enterprises in at least 12 EU Member States with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to comply with EUDR requirements.

Study

Evidence Map 2.0

Fairtrade uses its Theory of Change (ToC) as a core framework to guide its mission of empowering farmers and workers and promoting social justice in trade. This evidence mapping study assessed the 2022 ToC, embedded in Fairtrade’s strategy and informed by a prior evidence review. Conducted by external consultants, the study evaluated whether the ToC and strategic direction are supported by credible evidence.
