African Fine Coffee Conference & Exhibition

15-17 February 2017, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Fairtrade International and Fairtrade Africa are hosting a side event at the 15th African Fine Coffee Conference & Exhibition:

Working together to improve coffee farmers’ household income
Thursday 16 February, 09:30 am – 11:30 am
Lalibela Room, Addis Ababa Millennium Hall

Fairtrade International commissioned a pilot project to assess the total household income of coffee farmers. The study was conducted among selected farmer organizations in Asia and East Africa, including Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Preliminary results of the study are now available, providing interesting insights into the current income of coffee farmers.

During this session, Fairtrade will be presenting the outcomes of the study and explore with interested stakeholders possible areas of intervention to collaboratively address the key challenges identified by the research. You are very welcome to join us there.
